The Greene County Young Democrats is a brand-new organization. We are committed to the future of Greene County and to the goal of supporting democratic ideals and candidates both here and throughout New York State.

Our Committee will align its values and beliefs with our actions, and unite under a shared commitment to advance the Democratic values of opportunity, fairness, and responsibility.

We are the Columbia County (NY) Democratic Committee. We work toward electing Democrats to office locally, county-wide and for higher offices. Open, Honest and Responsible Leadership.

The Democratic National Committee plans the Party's quadrennial presidential nominating convention; promotes the election of Party candidates with both technical and financial support; and works with national, state, and local party organizations, elected officials, candidates, and constituencies to respond to the needs and views of the Democratic electorate and the nation.

Democrats understand the value of hard work, education, and opportunity. That.s why every single day, across New York state and in Washington, D.C., Democrats are working hard to bring more people into the economic mainstream, to improve our public schools, to protect our homeland, to make quality health care accessible, and to keep our air and water clean. And it's not just elected officials who are fighting for these enduring values -- it's committed citizens in communities across New York and America.

The DRC was organized in 1996 to support upstate rural New York elect Democratic candidates at all levels of government through uniting as a single force from our individual counties. Our motto was and remains "Unity and Victory."
